Three Houses, Rovaniemi

Single-storey houses on adjacent plots

  • Location: Rovaniemi, Finland
  • Office: Arkkitehtitoimisto Kaikkonen Oy
  • Type: Residential · three detached houses
  • Software: ArchiCAD

Three houses on adjacent plots backing onto a forest. Each is a single storey with a shaded rear deck, screened on both sides by a wall or lattice for privacy.

Large windows open every house to the forest. Living spaces run along the windows, and bedrooms are placed away from the car porch to avoid disturbance. The interior renders follow the chosen materials.

My role: Involved in all design phases, including the building permit drawings — ArchiCAD modelling and rendering.
