  • Location: Kalajoki, Finland

  • Client: City of Kalajoki
  • Office: Arkkitehtitoimisto Tähti-Set Oy

A timber-framed daycare centre providing night and shift care, together with a pre-school building and their shared yard areas.

My role: Contributing architect in the design team (2024) — 3D modelling in Revit, design development and detail / working drawings.

Aerial photo of the completed daycare: a long, low building with grey standing-seam metal roofs and cladding, beside a road and open fields.
Main entrance: grey vertical cladding cut back beneath a warm timber-lined canopy, with the sign Pohjankylän päiväkoti.
Interior cloakroom with rows of light birch cubbies and coat hooks for children, under a white acoustic ceiling.
